William Charles Becker, 89, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. He was born April 20, 1932 in Evansville, IN to the late Peter J. and Marie (Lehmeier) Becker. Bill graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1950 and served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956 in the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Evansville in 1960. Bill worked for Williamson Company and retired from Cardinal Ice Equipment after 17 years. Bill was a member of All Saints Parish-St. Anthony Church Campus. He volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a participant of the May 2018 Honor Flight. He enjoyed traveling and doing crossword puzzles. Bill was very gracious and always ready and willing to help others, especially those less fortunate. He never met a stranger, loved life and people unconditionally, as he always put others first. He was especially concerned and available at any time for his children and grandchildren. Bill is survived by his daughter, Elaine Marie Creamer; sons, Michael William Becker and Mark Alan (Ruth) Becker; grandchildren, Angela Becker, Charlie Becker, Private Matthew Becker, U.S.M.C., Carolyn Findley, and Marissa Creamer; great granddaughters, Mystic and Bella; sisters, Joanne Bauer, Marilyn Pruiett, and Peggy Becker; brother, Richard Becker; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee (Reidford) Becker; brothers, Frederick Becker, Edward Becker, and Jack Becker; sisters, Doris Jean Becker and Mary Catherine Murphy. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville with a Memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at All Saints Parish-St. Anthony Church, 704 N. First Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Father Gene Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
