Tiffany Dunbar, 50, a true “Joy Warrior” who courageously battled colon cancer for the past two years, died peacefully at her home Monday, August 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1970 in Evansville to J. Patrick and the late Beverly (Polley) Dunbar. Tiffany graduated from Memorial High School in 1989 and Ball State University in 1994. Her loves included her family, her friends, cooking, dancing in the kitchen, living a healthy and holistic lifestyle, and children. She influenced and inspired hundreds of children over the years at Children’s Learning Program (CLP) in Zionsville. She was an advocate for positivity and seeing Joy in each day, no matter the circumstances. She lived by the motto, “Nothing can steal my Joy.” Tiffany was generous and selfless and loved to serve others and give back to her community. She participated numerous times in Race for the Cure, Relay for Life, Golf Fore the Cure (created in honor of her mother), and the National Muffin Movement for the Homeless. She was an ambassador for Mudlove whose collective purpose is “to disrupt patterns of brokenness with the thoughtful and creative pursuit of love” and strives to provide clean water for those in need. Tiffany is survived by her daughter, Grace Gadd ; sons, Carson and Preston Gadd; father, J. Patrick Dunbar; sister, Danielle (Ben) Bryan; nephews, Max and Sam Bryan; niece, Molly Bryan; step-brother, Brett (Terah) Ausbrooks: step-nephew, R.C. Ausbrooks; step-niece, Beverly Ausbrooks; hundreds of close friends, and her loyal Labrador, Sophie. Tiffany was preceded in death by grandparents, John Daniel and Antoinette Polley, James P. and Mary Elizabeth Dunbar; her mother, Beverly (Polley) Dunbar; step-mother, Priscilla Dunbar; and uncle, Steven Dunbar. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Tom Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Thank you to the many kind helpers along the way that have supported her journey. Deepest gratitude to everyone who prayed, sent cards, and made meals.
