Sarah Christine Nicholson, 81, of Evansville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Primrose Retirement Community. She was born in Corydon, KY to the late Sarah and John C. Davis, Sr. on February 7, 1939, the eldest daughter of six children. Christine graduated from the 1957 class of Henderson County High School. She enjoyed her career as an Administrative Assistant in Finance at Bristol Myers, Evansville. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She married the love of her life, Robert J. Nicholson, in 1957, and together they raised two beautiful children, Beth Nicholson Patterson and Bradley Alan Nicholson. Christine was also involved in a Bible study group that met weekly with dear and faithful friends. She was a long-time member of Christian Fellowship Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life and included deep knowledge of the Bible and a passion for sharing the love of Jesus Christ. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of her life and endearingly called her “Kiki”. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Nicholson; son, Bradley Alan Nicholson; sister, Sally Davis Dukes. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Nicholson Patterson (Ned) of Knoxville, TN; brothers, John Davis Jr. of Corydon, KY, Robert Davis of Henderson, KY, and Jimmy Davis (Terry) of Henderson, KY; sister, Rita Davis Royster (Curt) of Portageville, MO; six grandchildren, Ryan R. Nicholson (Amy) of North Little Rock, AR, Sarah P. Goedert (Josh) of Knoxville, TN, Louis A. Nicholson (Rebecca) of Versailles, KY, Christie J. Caballero (Carlos) of Evansville, IN, Rose H. Patterson of Knoxville, TN, Emma H. Patterson of Knoxville, TN; four great grandchildren, Grace, Violet, Charlotte, and Luca; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Shoulders, Mary Ditzer, Jackie Lovelace, and Betty Flemming; and brothers-in-law, Richard Nicholson, Ed Nicholson, and Jimmy Nicholson (Sheila); as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Graveside services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Tupman Cemetery with Reverend Bret Nicholson officiating. Due to the current pandemic, masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
