Ronald Brand

Ronald Brand, 85, of Newburgh, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Newburgh Healthcare. He was born October 29, 1936 in Evansville to the late Harlan H. and Emeline (Downen) Brand. Ronald was a successful businessman having owned Moutoux Furniture for 28 years and the Franklin Street Antique Mall with his son Michael for 12 years. He was also the manager of a Commercial Credit Loan Department for 11 years. Ronald enjoyed the many years working at Bob Walther’s Golf Range. Ronald was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ on Lincoln Avenue and served as past president of the St. John’s Church Council. He was also past president of the West Side Nut Club, was a member of the University of Evansville Corridor of Champions at Roberts Stadium and the Ford Center and served on their Board of Directors, as well as the Board of Directors for the University of Southern Indiana Varsity Club. Ronald was a manager for the West Side Little League and was on the Board of Directors for the Evansville Boys and Girls Club. Ronald is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jackie Brand; daughter, Shelly Adlard; grandchildren, Susan (Jake) Ferch and Andy (Hailey) Adlard; great grandchildren, Mae Ferch, Roux and Lowen Adlard; sisters, Sandy (Wayne) Minks and Beverly Atherton. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara (Siemers) Brand; brother, Harlan Brand, Jr. ; and son-in-law, Stephen Adlard. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Herring officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society, P.O.
