Rita M. Miller

Rita M. Miller, 94, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. She was born January 23, 1928 in Evansville to the late Clifford and Anna (Nix) Adcock. Rita formerly worked at Mead Johnson and retired as Division Manager at Sears in the Cosmetic Department. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church and the Antique Machinery Club. Rita is survived by her son, Glenn Miller, of Evansville; grandson, Wade Miller; granddaughter, Brooklyn Loesch, Cody, Jeffery and Tonya; longtime friend, Nora Lee Meyer, of Utah; daughter, Debra (Rick) Blackburn, of Gulfport, MS; granddaughter, Amber Blackburn; great granddaughter, McKinley Schmitz; great grandson, Dylan (Julie) Schmitz; and great great-granddaughter, Hazel Schmitz. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2016; and eight brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the funeral home with Reverend Bessie Adams officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
