Richard A. Shephard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard A. Shephard, 74 of Dade City, Florida, formerly of Evansville, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Gulfside Hospice, Zephyrhills, Florida. Rick was born in Evansville to the late Percy and Beatrice (Moore) Shephard. Rick was formerly employed by Schnepper Truck Lines, Comaier Ambulance Service, Ziemer Transportation and Whirlpool Corp. He volunteered for the McCutchanville Fire Dept., Knight Township Fire Dept., and Civil Defense. He was a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Evansville area Fire Investigators. He also was an arson instructor. Rick is survived by his wife, Barbara (Marx) Shephard, of 53 years; daughters, LeeAnn (Tony) Buckwinkel of Evansville, Kristina (Joe) Shake of Evansville; sons, Marcus (Erin) Shephard of Evansville, David (Michelle) Shephard of Newburgh; grandchildren, Erin and Shelby Buckwinkel; Jared and Dawsyn Shake; Andrew, Addyson, and Alexander Shephard; Amaya and Braden Shephard; great-granddaughter, Kinzley Baker; sister-in-law, Sherry Brown (Jim); nephew, Rodney (Becky) Shephard; nieces, Sally (Ryan) Calvin and Sandy Brown. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Shephard. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., where the Indiana Firefighters Association will have a Memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home with Reverend Don Harris officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
