Nina Kay (Fuller) Heil, 79, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 27, 1941 in Henderson, KY, to the late Virginia (Gaines) Culbertson and Thomas Dugan Fuller. Nina graduated from Memorial High School in 1959 and the St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1962. She was employed by Bristol Myers as a Registered Nurse for 32 years where she retired in 2001. Nina was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Nina loved to travel. She never knew a stranger and making friends came natural. Nina drew people together through her quiet and likeable demeanor. She was also very giving and would help anyone in need. Nina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Nina is survived by her husband of 53 years, Pat Heil; son, Gregory Patrick (Tracy) Heil and their children, Kirsten, Audrey, and Nicholas Heil, of Carmi, Il; daughter, Alicia Egli and her children, Tyler and Bradyn Egli, of Evansville; sister, Marlene (Larry) Buttrum, of Avon, IN; sister-in-law, Caroline (Peter) Swaim; three nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Michael Heil. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Zach Etienne officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
