Nancy Lee Epmeier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

As heartbroken as we are, we know our loved one is in a better place. Nancy Lee (Wilder) Epmeier, 90, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at The Evansville Protestant Home. She was born September 10, 1931 in Oakland City, IN to the late Golia and Myrtle (Maxey) Wilder. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1949 and was a bookkeeper for Washington Manor and Wesselman’s Grocery. For most of her adult life she was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Nancy enjoyed traveling and playing cards with friends, sports – especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and sewing. Nancy married the love of her life, William, and the two were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kim Epmeier and Kristine Thomas, she was also survived by a grandson, Kenneth (McKinley) Thomas. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, William Epmeier, and sister, Billie J. Lautenslager. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Entombment at Park Lawn Mausoleum will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh Humane Society, 400 Millner Industrial Dr., Evansville, IN 47710.
