Mary Agnes Ryan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Agnes Ryan, 90, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born September 14, 1931 in Troy, New York to the late William and Mary Agnes (Cantwell) Noonan. Mary was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she was a past Family Life Commission member and former member of Over 50’s group. She moved to Evansville in 1994 from Baldwinsville, New York to be closer to her family. She attended Catholic Central High School in Troy, New York. Mary loved attending her grandchildren’s school events and traveling with her husband Jim to Maine on summer vacation. Mary was affectionately known by her family and close friends as “Dear”. She is survived by her daughters, Terry (Steve) Cooper, Kathy (Slavko) Lenic, Mary Ann (Greg) Valenta and Colleen (David) York; grandchildren, Alicia (Adrian) Mazzarella, Michele (John) Perkins, Christopher (Ana) Cooper, Jason (Melissa) Gessler, Jill Gessler, Kim (Kyle) Warriner, Bryan (Christine) Valenta, Autumn York, Kelly York and Alex York; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James A. Ryan in 2008; stepmother, Lillian Noonan; stepbrothers, Jim, Ed, Dick and Jack Foley all of Troy, New York. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Zach Etienne officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715. The family would like to thank Janice Ware, N.P. for her compassionate care over the years of their mother.
