Mary Geraldine Dubord

April 22, 1931 - October 3, 2021

Mary Geraldine Dubord, 90, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born April 22, 1931 in Evansville to the late John and Helen (Titzer) Freihaut. Mary was a graduate of Memorial High School in 1949 and retired from Sears after 18 years. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh and volunteered at Mother Theresa’s Treasures. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Auxiliary. She and her husband, Bernard, enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Florida. Mary is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bernard L. Dubord; daughters, Debora Michelsen, Diane (Richard) DeJean and Mary (Daniel) Hardesty; sons, Daniel (Vickie) Dubord, David (Cynthia) Dubord, Donald (Kristie) Dubord, and Joseph (Diane) Dubord; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas Michelsen; great grandchildren, Aiden Clegg, Avery Clegg, and John Patrick Banich; and brothers, Richard Freihaut, John Freihaut, and Robert Freihaut. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Ray Brenner officiating. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the St. Vincent staff that helped Mary at the end of her life.
