Marjorie “Margie” (Clardy) Kostbade, 76, of Newburgh, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born June 20, 1945 in Dunmor, Kentucky to the late Ray and Rowena (Blackwell) Clardy. Margie graduated from Bosse High School. She attended Bethel Church and was a volunteer at the Christian Life Center. Margie enjoyed shopping and was always decorating her home. She loved traveling, especially to the Grand Tetons and Washington D.C. Margie was an avid Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Margie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles “Michael” Kostbade; daughter, Lori Wood; grandchildren, Nate and Grant Wood; sisters, Joyce Logesdon, Brenda (Albia) Yeast, and Donna (Garry) Ghormley; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her brother, James Clardy. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend David Schwambach officiating and will be live-streamed on the Ziemer Funeral Home and Cremation Services’ Facebook page 20 minutes prior to service time. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church, 4400 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714, the Christian Life Center, 509 S. Kentucky Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 or to the charity of your choice.
