Margarette "June" Carneal

June 13, 1933 - April 9, 2022

Margarette “June” Carneal, 88, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Hamilton Pointe. She was born June 13, 1933 in Crofton, Kentucky to the late Roger and Ila Cannon. She was a 50 year member of Terrace Park General Baptist Church and worked for the Evansville School Corporation and sales. June enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and NASCAR with her granddog, Copper, by her side. She also loved watching her grandchildren play all their sports. June is survived by her sons, Roger (Cindy) Carneal and Rick Carneal; son-in-law, Charles Conyer; grandsons, Ryan (Stacey) Conyer and Craig (Katie) Conyer; great grandchildren, Rachel and Emily Conyer, and Gabe Conyer; sisters, Joyce Farnsley, Carolyn (James) Page, Jane (Terry) Bowman, and Sharon Criss. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil “Pete” Carneal; daughter, Debbie Conyer; son; Steven Carneal; brothers, Sam and James Cannon; sisters, Linda Cannon and Dean Fleming. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Kris Page officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 701 N.
