Margaret "Judy" Barnes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margaret “Judy” Barnes, 77, formerly of Evansville, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at St. Rose Sienna Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. She was born June 28, 1945 in Evansville to the late Leonard and Edith (Strauss) Joest. Judy worked for Sears in Evansville for 22 years and was a store manager for Ethan Allen Furniture in Henderson, NV. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Henderson, NV. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerry Barnes; sons, Gregory (Kimberly) Barnes and Donald Barnes; granddaughters, Megan (Jaden) Zerbe and Kayla Barnes; brothers, Kevin and Joseph Joest; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, Donald, John, Paul, Ralph and James Joest; and sisters, Jeannette Reidford and Betty Wilhite. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Rd, Evansville, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Steve Lintzenich officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
