Kathryn "Katie" Floyd

October 9, 1922 - February 19, 2022

Kathryn “Katie” Floyd, 99, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her daughter’s home whom cared for her. She was born October 9, 1922 in Tell City, IN to the late William and Catherine (Scott) Naegele. Katie was a member of the VFW Post 2953 Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and raising tomatoes. Katie is survived by her sons, Rick Floyd, and Steve Floyd, of Evansville; daughter, Becky (Larry) LaMar, of Evansville; grandchildren, Blake Floyd, Regan Buchanan, Skylar Floyd, Ryan LaMar, and Traci Harrison; 8 great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Louie E. Floyd, who passed away December 19, 2006. Private family visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Funeral services will be at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating. Private burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com.
