Julia "Judy" (Angus) Groff Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Julia “Judy” (Angus) Groff, 85, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Bethel Manor. She was born October 30, 1935 in Evansville to the late James W. and Ruth (Mitchell) Angus. Judy graduated from Reitz High School in 1953. She was in the band and was active in the 4H Club where she received the Junior Leadership Award. Judy was a telephone operator at Traylor Brothers, Inc., Boetticher Kellogg, and IKI Distributors. She was a member of the Independent Telephone Operating Personality Service and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the VFW. She loved her animals and loved to needlepoint. Judy was an amazing singer and won many karaoke contests when singing Patsy Cline songs. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack D. Groff. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue, Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your church or favorite charity.
