Josephine Ann (DeArmond) Littell

June 8, 1941 - February 15, 2022

JoAnn DeArmond Littell of Newburgh, Indiana, left this earth on February 15, 2022 to join her beloved husband and mother in heaven. She is survived by daughters, Dannetta Hiatt-Bennett (Lee), Candy Bridges and son, John Christian Littell; brothers, Keith DeArmond (Pam) and Reginald DeArmond (Jan Myers); grandchildren, Brandi Jo Zirkelbach, Hilary Blair Rollins, Brittany Drew, Matthew Bridges, and Tyler Bridges; four great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and her loyal caregiver and friend, Stephanie Hudson. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Johnny Joe Littell; mother, Hazel F. Montgomery DeArmond; father, Rice Clifton DeArmond; and brother, Thomas Clifton DeArmond. JoAnn worked at Indiana Bell and AT&T for more than 20 years as a commercial service representative. Through those years she made the best of friends with many of her coworkers and clients. After leaving AT&T she worked side by side with her husband, at J.J. Littell Company. JoAnn had a fabulous zest for life, a funny sense of humor and was quite the prankster. She loved cooking and decorating for Christmas to make everything special for her family. Her life was filled with love and admiration by so many wonderful friends, and her family. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing in Canada, and spending time at their home in Cape Coral, Florida. She was a wonderful and dedicated wife, daughter, mother, sister and grandmother and will be deeply missed. JoAnn instilled in her children and grandchildren to “value your family and friendships and learn to trust and forgive”. JoAnn passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Visitation will continue from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the funeral home and funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ken Slater officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Ziemer Funeral Home and Cremation Services’ Facebook page 20 minutes prior to service time. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
