Jack F. Tyner, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jack F. Tyner, Jr., 90, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born September 4, 1931 in Evansville to the late Jack F. and Jeanette (Sweeton) Tyner. Jack attended Memorial High School and U of E. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Omaha, Nebraska. There he double-dated with his good friend, Jim Briselden and met his future wife, Anita. After his Air Force discharge, he moved back to Evansville where he married Anita and raised his four children on Harlan Avenue in Evansville. Jack then moved to Warrick County and lived on a 40 acre farm. This was the beginning of Jack’s love of organic gardening. While gardening, Jack also worked as a substitute teacher. Due to the expansion of Amax Coal Mine, Jack moved his family to Newburgh, Indiana. He then became involved with CAPE doing home repair. This was a big part of Jack’s life for service to the community. He attended several Catholic churches downtown, including Living Word Fellowship. Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara Tyner; son, Michael (Jennifer) Tyner and grandson, Steven (Andrea) Tyner; daughter, Jeanne (Rick) Ewers and grandchildren, Justin Ewers and Christine (Lee) Pankau; daughter, Deborah (Daniel) Fullington and grandsons, Pat (Sherry) Fullington and Chris Fullington; daughter, Barbie Tyner (Jeff Moss) and Will Moss; son, Adam Seaver and grandchildren, Amanda Seaver, Alexandra J. Seaver, Adam Joel Seaver and Jessica Haire; son, Mark Seaver and grandson, Dustin Moats; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Sue Valley and the mother of his children, Anita Ann Tyner. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Stephen Lintzenich and Pastor Rosemary Lloyd officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.
