Jack Cowan Foster, 96, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. He was born April 25, 1925 in Clay, Kentucky to the late William and Lottie (Cowan) Foster. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Enterprise. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2953 and was also the Past President of the U.S.S. Enterprise CV6 Association for two terms. Jack retired in 1987 as a route salesman for Ideal American Dairy. He was an avid golfer, member of Fendrich’s Men’s Club and made several hole-in-ones. Jack was a loving father and adored his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack is survived by his daughters, Monna Smith (Harold), Teresa Foster (Steve Roberts), and Melanie Winn (Danny); sons, Richard Foster (Ladora) and Jack D. Foster (Shelly); grandchildren, Andrew Foster (Will Griffin), Adam Foster, Scott Foster (Melissa), Victoria Foster, and Mitchell Foster; great grandchildren, Angelina Stewart, Case Foster, Cali Foster, and Crew Foster. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife Nima (Williams) Foster; and his two sisters, Joyce Peerman and Sharon Byrd. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
