Infant Matthew Joseph Muehlbauer

Our sweet baby boy, Matthew Joseph Muehlbauer, was taken home to heaven on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 12:54 pm. The name Matthew was chosen for its meaning, “gift from God”, and we feel so fortunate to have received the gift of Matthew in our lives. Matthew is survived by his mother and father, Ann and Glen Muehlbauer, and by his two adoring big sisters, Lucy (7) and Audrey (3). They loved their “Baby Bro” and “Apple Pie” so much. Matthew is also survived by his loving grandparents, JoAnn and Bob Weber and Mary Kay and Jim Muehlbauer, all of Evansville, and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the health care professionals at Tri-State Perinatology and The Women’s Hospital who have been incredibly supportive and comforting throughout this journey, especially Dr. Kuper, Dr. Pyle, and nurse Beth. A funeral Mass for Matthew will be held at 9:45 am on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church at 3101 Bayard Park Drive, Evansville, IN, 47714, with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday at Christ the King Church. The mass will be livestreamed on the Ziemer Funeral Home and Cremation Services Facebook page, beginning 20 minutes prior to service time. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
