George E. O'Neal, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

George E. O’Neal, Jr., 75, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 on his 53rd wedding anniversary at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 7, 1946 in Gibson County, Indiana to the late Ruth O. (Green) and George E. O’Neal, Sr. George worked as a Quality Technician at Whirlpool Corporation and retired in 2008 after 41 years. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 194. George was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. George loved spending time with his family, playing cards, bowling and spending time outdoors. George is survived by his wife, Marilyn R. (Spindler) O’Neal; daughters, Annette (Ritchie) Maier, Beverly (Jim) Robbins, Christina (Garrett) Estes and Jennifer O’Neal; brother, Dan (Debbie) O’Neal; sisters, Sharon “Sue” Miller and Ann Doerner; grandchildren, Alex Markle, Ashley Reine, Kiersten Sapp, Kaylee Williams, Kyle Maier, Alexander Maier, and Hunter Estes; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his grandson, Xavier Reine. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue, Evansville with a Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 12300 S. 50 W., Haubstadt. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Fathers Ray Brenner and Kenny Betz officiating. Burial will be at the St. James Church Cemetery.
