Florence O'Bryan Murphy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Florence O’Bryan Murphy, 97, formerly of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN. She was born December 29, 1922 in Evansville, IN, to the late Andrew and Anna (Weigand) O’Bryan. Florence was a Charter member of Holy Spirit Church, a St. Vincent de Paul member and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was humbled to receive the Mother Teresa Award in 2013. Florence retired in 1987 after 23 years as the Cafeteria Manage at Holy Spirit Catholic School. She was a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. Florence is survived by her daughters, Pattie (Gary) Eberhard, Duluth, GA, and Deborah (Tim) Lansing, Greendale, IN; grandchildren, Matthew Eberhard, Leeann Yee, Angie Larson, Shawn Eberhard, Bryan Lansing, Jacob Lansing, and Jeffrey Lansing; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Joseph O’Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Delmar “Del” Murphy, in 2001; sisters, Bernice Williams, Mary (Sis) Baumgart, Margaret Wilcox, Jeanette Dick, and Lucille Russelburg; 4 nieces; and three nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Annunciation Catholic Parish-Holy Spirit Campus, 1800 Lodge Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating. Due to the pandemic, masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
