Delores S. Raley

Delores S. Raley, 93, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Bethel Manor. She was born September 3, 1927, in Evansville, to the late John N. and Christine R. (Farny) Kissel. Delores graduated from Reitz High School in 1945. She attended Annunciation Parish at the Holy Spirit campus and was a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards. She also enjoyed watching quiz shows and sports on television, especially bowling and ice skating. Delores is survived by her children, Kathy (Doug) Knies, Charleen Miguet, Tom (Sandy) Raley, Krista (Tony) Hunt, and Mike Raley, all of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Kathy Raley, of Evansville; grandchildren, Evan Knies, Alex (Megan) Knies, Chris (Alix) Raley, Justin (Jen) Hunt, Amelia (Paul) Sebree, Kira (Matthew) Delgado, Brad Raley, Nichole (Marc) Brantley, Maggie Raley, and Caroline Raley; seven great grandchildren, brother, Richard (Ethel) Kissel; brother-in-law, Fred Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Raley; daughter, Carol Raley; son, Joe Raley; son-in-law, Steve Miguet; brothers, Daniel Kissel and Jerome Kissel; sisters, Mary Lee Reis, Evelyn Smith, Shirley Williams, Angela Lilly, and Florence Saltzman. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Annunciation Parish-Holy Spirit Campus, 1800 Lodge Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed on the Ziemer Funeral Home and Cremation Services’ Facebook page, 20 minutes prior to Mass time. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
