Connie J. Steckler

Connie J. Steckler, 70, of Haubstadt, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 14, 1950 in Evansville to the late Harold “Olen” and Marjorie R. (Ricketts) Paulson. Connie was a member of St. James Catholic Church and New Life House of Prayer. She retired from St. Vincent Medical Center as a Patient Care Technician and formerly worked with her husband at Champ Converter. Connie loved to travel and spend time with her family. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite times of year and hosted her family Thanksgiving dinner for over 30 years. Connie played Bunko with her very special group of Bunko Gals for over 38 years, and enjoyed her Little Peanuts at New Life House of Prayer. Connie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” F. Steckler; son, Chet A. (Michelle) Steckler, of Wentzville, MO; daughter, Shelly Steckler, of Haubstadt; grandchildren, Nathan Manning, Mackenzie Steckler, and Robert James “R.J.” Steckler; and brother, Harold (Sherry) Paulson, of Evansville. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Larry O. Paulson. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church, 12300 S. 50 W., Haubstadt, IN 47639. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Father Kenneth Betz officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery. Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel is handling all the arrangements.
