A notice to our Families

To Our Families and Community. Information on Funerals and COVID-19

Our primary focus at Ziemer Funeral Home during this public health concern is the safety and well-being of our guests, staff and community. All of our locations are open and our professional staff is here to provide compassionate care for families experiencing the loss of a loved one. Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this challenging time.

In addition to monitoring our own health conditions, we are adhering to all local and state ‘Stay at Home’ guidelines. Our funeral homes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized daily and after any guests have visited our facilities.

We are limiting the size of gatherings and asking that visitors adhere to social distancing and other safe hygiene guidelines. Guests are welcome and encouraged to wear masks and we provide hand sanitizer in addition to soap and water in the restrooms. Ziemer Funeral Home will do all that we can to plan and share memorial services so that any vulnerable and high-risk individuals may stay home. We have the ability to webstream memorial services and share memorial videos on our website and can create a Facebook live event of a service. This technology helps family and friends share in a lasting tribute without potentially compromising their health.

Family and friends are encouraged to reach out via our online condolence page to leave a special memory or personal note. Written condolences can be sent to any of our funeral homes and we will forward to the family. It is important now more than ever to support those that have experienced a loss through a phone call, text, email or a written note.

If you are interested in prearranging a service, information can be found on our website or you can call our preplanning specialist at (812) 471-2664.

Ziemer Pet Memorial Center is also taking additional steps to ensure the safety of families experiencing the loss of a pet and can be reached at (812) 431-7035.

The Ziemer family and staff appreciate the trust you have placed in us to serve your family. We will continue to monitor local conditions and implement new safety guidelines as needed. Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions or concerns (812) 477-1515.
